Portégé R500 is a high computing, multitasking enabled and graphics enabled device from Toshiba. The device makes use of the Intel Core2 Duo T7600 ULV processor coupled with a 2 GB RAM to provide high end computing experience. The Basic Input/ Output System (BIOS) is the main program that operates any computer. The BIOS is the program that is responsible for loading the operating system installed in your computer. This is done when you press the Power key to turn on your Toshiba Portégé R500 laptop computer, the BIOS loads the operating system, which in turn loads any other programs.
