Toshiba has announced that it will soon come up with three new tablets under the ‘Excite’ range that will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The three Toshiba Excite tablets will be launched in 7.7-inch, 10-inch, and 13-inch screen sizes in the United States in May and June 2012.
The new Toshiba tablets will run on NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and 1GB RAM. In addition, the three tablets will feature 5 megapixel rear and 2 mega pixel front cameras. The high resolution tablets may also include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. The 13-inch Toshiba Excite tablet will include the AMOLED screen with 1600 x 900 resolution.
All the three Toshiba Excite tablets will be launched with different memory options. The 7.7-inch version will be made available in 16GB and 32GB models for US$500 and US$580, respectively. Toshiba Excite 10, which is supposed to hit the stores in May, will be launched in three options namely 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB for U.S. $450, U.S. $530, and U.S. $650, respectively. Lastly, the 13-inch tablet will come in two models, including 32GB for U.S. $650 and 64GB for U.S. $750.
