Toshiba® donating for Turkey earthquake victims
It seems that corporate giants are not just focusing upon banking profits and making more and more revenue. They are doing more than usual business and this includes playing their role in the social domain and helping the needy. Large entities are now investing huge amounts of money and time in their corporate social responsibility ventures. This not only creates a good impression on their clients but also adds on to their image, as well as brand value worldwide.
Following this apparent trend, Japanese MNC, Toshiba has become the next entity to join the brigade of the companies, who are working in social responsibility domain. Toshiba Corporation has decided to donate the amount equivalent to 10 million Yen for the relief and rescue in the aftermath of the earthquake that has recently wreaked havoc in Turkey.
The 7.2 magnitude earthquake, which hit the eastern Turkey on 23 October, 2011 has resulted in the loss of many innocent lives. The rescue teams are still working to make sure that no more casualties take place.
Toshiba has stated in its press release that they are making dedicated efforts to provide full support and has also extended its sympathy and condolences to the deceased and their families. Hoping for a sincere and quick recovery from the disaster, Toshiba is playing its social responsibility part really well.
All the details including the timings and the allocation of funds are still to be decided and are under consideration. Let’s hope that Turkey recovers soon from this natural calamity and the victims get back to their normal life soon.
