Toshiba Portege® M780 comes with various attractive features like Face recognition, Fingerprint reader, and Tablet PC. It has EasyGuard® Technology and other common features that are available in most laptops. It has Intel® Core processor, 320 GB/ 250 GB/ 160 GB hard disk drive, 4 GB/ 3 GB/ 2 GB RAM. It comes with 12.1” widescreen display. It has Intel® integrated graphics. Operating system is the Windows® 7 professional with a Windows® XP tablet pc edition recovery media. If your computer does not start properly
There are many reasons for which the computer may not start properly. Check that all the connections are Ok. Then if you find that the internal hard drive is not working, then the computer may not boot from the drive. In such cases, use an external drive and insert the system disk into it. Then start the computer, press F12 and set the boot drive. Then follow the instructions. If your computer shows “WARNING RESUME FAILURE” messages, then select the ‘Start Windows’ normally to continue. If the battery of your computer is discharged and it was in sleep mode, such problems may occur. In such cases, charge the battery for several hours.

In such cases, you have to scan the computer to find out the malicious ware, then remove it and then repair the operating system. If the security software cannot repair the operating system, insert the recovery disk into the disk drive and restart the computer and follow the instructions provided. If the computer does not come with an optical drive you need to use an external drive.
You can take the help of the System Restore tool of your computer. You can set your computer to an earlier date when the computer was working properly. To go to the System Restore, first go to the ‘Programs’ menu, then go to the system tools and then the System Restore tool. You can also repair the operating system by using the operating system disk. To update the software and monitor your PC’s health you can use the Toshiba PC Health Monitor and Toshiba Service Station utilities.
