Connecting the computer to a network
Through the Bluetooth® technology you can create a personal area network. This technology uses short length waves to connect devices. Your computer can be connected via the Internet through a modem. You will need a browser program, an online service, and a connection to the Internet. If your computer has a built-in port, then connect the phone cable into the port. You can use the internet connection wizard of the operating system of your computer. If your computer does not work, then check the phone cable that it is active.
Wireless networking problems
If the wireless connection of your computer does not work, then check that the device is working properly. This computer comes with the internal WiFi adapter. Check that the antenna switch is ON. Check that the necessary softwares are upgraded. If the wireless management utility of the Windows® operating system does not work properly due to the external device; then check the device if it comes with a separate utility software. This separate utility may stop the Windows® management utility. In such cases, you can use the utility of the device.
If you use modems to connect via the Internet and it does not work properly; then check the driver of the device. To check this you can use the Device Manager of the operating system. To go to the ‘Device Manager’, go to the ‘Control Panel’, then click the ‘Performance and Maintenance’, then click the ‘System’, then click the ‘Device Manager’ from the hardware tab. In the ‘Device Manager’ find out the modem, then check whether the modem is working properly or not. Then if you need to update the driver, click the ‘Update driver’ from the ‘Modem Properties’ box. You can also install the driver, after uninstalling it first. For better performance, you may have to restart the computer.
