Overheating issues in Toshiba® Tecra M11

Use it on a flat surface

Placing your laptop on soft and uneven surfaces can also cause overheating as it blocks free circulation of air. To avoid this, it is advised to keep your laptop on hard and flat surfaces while working on it.
Increasing the process or cooling
Another way of reducing or avoiding overheating is by working in an air-conditioned room or by using additional cooling pad for your processor. It can be easily attached to your USB port and might not consume much power for it to run. Cooling fans can also be changed according to the processor’s speed. It is always advisable to work in a cooler environment.
If the battery is not disconnected from the laptop after reaching 100% power charge, the battery might keep on charging, which in long run reduces its life and also results in overheating. Battery charge might also get drained easily. To avoid this, disconnect the battery charger after reaching 100% or near to that.
Using high rendering software in your Toshiba Tecra Series M11 system could also result in overheating. This happens, when high rendering software or games are installed without having the minimum system requirements. Even overloading of applications can cause overheating. So, by reducing the use of such software, you can prevent your system from getting overheated.
