You have purchased a Toshiba Satellite® L450-18P laptop computer. The computer came with DOS, but you are not familiar with the operating system. You want to install a Windows® operating system. In such cases, you will need the bootable disk containing the Windows® operating system software. Go to the ‘BIOS’ option of the computer by pressing the function key provided by the manufacturer while starting the computer. Set the boot drive, from where the computer will install the operating system. Save the settings and exit from BIOS. Insert the operating system disk into the drive and restart the computer, then follow the instructions as you are prompted. Install the operating system in a separate partition, so that your previous operating system remains intact.
