Toshiba Satellite E205 is a laptop with excellent features made especially for your use. This laptop comes with touch buttons and backlit keyboard. However, to run various applications in Toshiba Satellite E205, you need to upgrade the memory of the laptop. This is because there are various applications and games which might create problem while running because of the less memory of the laptop. The memory of Toshiba Satellite E205 can be upgraded up to 8 GB. In the two memory slots you can have a maximum of 4GB of memory. However, there are some things that you should keep in mind when upgrading the memory of Toshiba Satellite E205 laptop. These are:
- Get a new RAM
- Remove the existing RAM
- Install the new RAM
Get a new RAM
For this you need to open the instruction manual of your Toshiba Satellite E205 laptop and get the pin count of your laptop's RAM. You must have the correct count of the new RAM so that it is compatible with your system. Before you go to buy the RAM get an idea about the amount of RAM that will suit you. This will depend on the kind of work that you need to do. If you edit movies or music files then you would require much more RAM than if you are doing surfing or using word processing applications. Remove the existing RAM
For this you need to follow the following steps. First, you need to turn off your laptop and remove all the peripherals attached to it. Secondly, you need to read the instruction manual of your laptop and find out the location of the RAM. Thirdly, once you have found it then you should unscrew that chamber and then get the RAM out by keeping it at 45 degree angle.

Next, you need to insert the new RAM carefully in to the RAM slot of your computer putting it at 45 degree angle. Be careful to check that the pins are aligned. Then you should lower the RAM slot in the chamber. Now put the cover on the back of the laptop and fix it with the screws. Now you should plug in the devices and the power cord and turn on the laptop.
