- Tips to uninstall Windows® 7
Installation on a preexisting operating system
In this case Windows® 7 have been installed on a pre-existing Windows® operating system. One thing that should be kept in mind that by uninstalling Windows® it will take the user’s data back to the time when the Windows® 7 was not installed and every file that was created before the new installation of the Windows®. In this case the data should be back up. To back up the data a number of points should be kept in mind. The user should always backup the files to external media rather than on the same system. In this case USB device, CD or DVD may help a lot and the backup data should not be stored on the same disk to which Windows® OS is installed. It is important to store the backup data to a protected space.
Installation on a system that do not have pre-installed operating system
In this case there is no pre-existing operating system so it is necessary to store the data on an external media as a backup. In this case attach any USB device and transfer the data to it, or transfer the data to CD or DVD. This would later help to retrieve that data on the new operating system.
Windows® can be downgraded to previous operating system. In this case it is impossible to retrieve data from last version of operating system. But in this case the data should be saved as backup from Windows® 7 so that it should be transferred to the next installed operating system.
If there is an irreversible damage caused by the virus or spyware attack, then first of all make the backup on an external removable media, and then format all drives of the system to remove all kind of threats from the system. When the new Windows® OS is going to be installed then first of all check that the processor is of 32 bit or 64 bit and then install the Windows® accordingly.
